Step into a hands-on MR driving role where safety, teamwork, and reliable haulage make a real difference every day. 38 hours per week 9 day fortnight with RDO Permanent full time position available based out of our Erina Depot About the role The Truck Driver MR is a vital role within our organisation, responsible for delivering haulage services to support Councils operations. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, safety, and compliance with relevant regulations. Key activities of this role include: Safely operate a single-axle Medium Rigid truck, complying with traffic regulations and legal load limits Plan efficient routes to maximise truck utilisation, minimise waste, and avoid disrupting onsite activities Comply with National Heavy Vehicle Regulator requirements, including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) Conduct loading, driving, tipping, and water cart operations in line with legislation and Council policies/procedures Complete daily truck/plant inspections, report servicing/repairs and safety issues, and undertake labouring/other duties as directed To be successful in this role, you will have: Current (MR) Medium Rigid Drivers Licence Current SafeWork NSW general construction induction card Current working near overhead powerlines accreditation or commitment to obtain within a specified time Current RMS NSW Traffic Control Stop/Slow accreditation or commitment to obtain within a specified time You will also have: Experience operating single-axle tippers and water carts in civil maintenance/construction Experience performing general labouring duties in civil maintenance/construction Strong compliance and operating knowledge: NHVR fatigue management (GVM >12t), CoR, load restraint, and heavy vehicle procedures/inspections/minor maintenance reporting To view our position description which provides more information for you to learn more about this role please click the Apply button. Other important information The commencing salary for this position is up to $61,225.40. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $73,599.26 on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation We have a permanent full-time role available This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight This role is located at the Erina Depot Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
