Competitive rates & accommodation provided Your new company Our client delivers critical mechanical and outage services at Callide Power Station in Biloela, supporting the ongoing operation of a major energy asset. With a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and technical excellence, offering the opportunity to work on a well-established power generation site alongside an experienced workforce. Your new role As a Trade Assistant on-site shutdowns, you will provide handson support to qualified trades across maintenance and repair activities during scheduled outages. The role involves assisting with tools and equipment, manual handling, basic mechanical support, site preparation, and maintaining clean and safe work areas in a fastpaced shutdown environment. You will follow strict safety procedures, take direction from supervisors and trades, and work as part of a team to ensure shutdown tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and within tight timeframes. What you''ll need to succeed Previous experience working as a Trade Assistant or labourer on minesite or heavy industrial shutdowns (preferred) Strong ability to work effectively within a teambased outage setting, with clear communication skills Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, procedures, and personal accountability Current tickets including: Enter & Work in Confined Spaces (RIIWHS202E) Working at Heights (RIIWHS204E - current within 3 years) Construction White Card Reliable, safetyfocused, and comfortable working in a fastpaced outage environment Ability to DIDO & complete the whole shutdown 2 x Previous References What you''ll get in return You''ll secure a casual DIDO outage role at Callide Power Station in Biloela, commencing midMay and running through to late June. The position offers a Monday to Saturday roster with both day and night shifts, working 11hour shifts throughout the outage period. You''ll receive EBA rates with overtime penalties calculated from the base rate, plus a site allowance. You''ll be part of a supportive team delivering Downer''s Callide outage, with either LAHA or accommodation provided for distant workers and potential opportunities for future project and outage work.
