The Administration Officer plays a key role in delivering professional administrative support across Mt Barker District Councils services. As a first point of contact, the position provides high-quality assistance to customers ensuring enquiries are handled efficiently and effectively. This role supports a broad range of Council functions, with responsibilities varying depending on the team. Key duties may include resolving enquiries, processing transactions, and providing general administrative support. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong customer service commitment, supported by effective interpersonal, organisational, and time management skills. They will have experience in cash handling and financial transactions, the ability to adapt between tasks, handle difficult customers, and work collaboratively within a team.
