The role As an Assistant Ministerial and Parliamentary Liaison Officer, youre in the engine room of the Ministerial and Parliamentary Services team, keeping everything moving with precision and purpose as we support agencies within the department. Youll allocate and manage ministerial correspondence, track correspondence trends and campaigns, draft Ministerial responses where possible using precedent text, assist with correspondence reports and follow ups, and process Minister signed material. Its a role that blends admin smarts with project coordination, all while supporting high-level decision-making. Youll be challenged with juggling tight deadlines, navigating complex communication channels, and handling sensitive information with professionalism. Whether its liaising with ministerial offices, tracking requests, or improving our internal systems, your work helps the department stay responsive, accurate, and aligned with government protocols. Solid time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines efficiently. Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes. Proficient in navigating government protocols and departmental systems to ensure compliance and timely delivery of ministerial and parliamentary products. Skilled in coordinating cross-functional inputs and approvals, maintaining accuracy and consistency across high-volume documentation workflows.
