Senior Media Advisor Join Corporate Services, a division within the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport Clerk Grade 9/10 with a salary range of $129,464-$142,665 + super & leave loading Part-time (2 days per week) 6-month temporary role, with possibility of extension About the role The Senior Media Advisor provides media management and public affairs advice and delivers effective communications and media products to promote and support the department. The role primarily provides specialised proactive and reactive media and public affairs services; identifies opportunities and supports a designated client group; but will facilitate overall media priorities as required. Some key accountabilities of the role include In line with contemporary public relations strategy, brand and priorities, undertake research and analysis, and draft media releases, media responses, holding statements, Q&As and other media and communications material for the client group, department and/or ministers offices. Monitor and identify proactive and reactive media issues impacting the department and identify emerging contentious issues to inform media response strategies. About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have Demonstrated experience in crafting media and communications materials and working directly with media outlets to deliver government communications. Experience dealing with Ministerial Offices and Advisors. Demonstrated experience developing regulatory and compliance communications and in delivering media and communications projects utilising multiple communications channels. Essential Requirements Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience. After hours, on call and weekend work is required on occasion. How to Apply!
