Work Place Health and Safety Assistant Langs Building Supplies is a family owned and operated company, who for more than 50 years has been supplying a full range of quality building products to our customers. An exciting opportunity has just opened up for an WH&S Assistant to join our team. This is an important role within the company and would suit an extremely well organised individual with a keen eye for detail, strong communication and time management skills, who can problem solve and plan ahead. The position is working 38hrs Monday to Friday. Your main responsibilities will be to provide support to our Workplace Health and Safety Advisor within our Administration Department. Your duties will include, but are not limited to: New Employee site inductions, Maintain and follow up on training records, Restock First Aid Kits, Maintain Safety Data Sheets, Document risk assessments and procedures, Arrange annual First Aid training and hearing tests Taking injured workers to the Doctor or Hospital, Filing of relevant documentation, General Adhoc WH&S duties as required. This role requires the ideal candidate to possess the following: Essential Criteria Experience would be an advantage in Workplace Health and Safety, supported by sound understanding of office procedures, Strong computer literacy Strong written and verbal communication skills Interpersonal skills - confidence, professionalism, integrity and strong sense of accountability Ability to perform steadily and maintain work load during peak times for reasonable periods of time Time, task and priority management Customer service skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail Drivers Licence In return we offer an excellent work environment with flexible hours and salary will be acknowledged on your relevant experience.
