We are seeking a motivated, hands-on, and detail-oriented Dispatch and Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse and dispatch operations. This is a varied role that combines day-to-day warehouse responsibilities with leadership and operational oversight. From pick packing and dispatching orders, to managing stock levels, monitoring reorder points, supervising workflows, and supporting continuous improvement, this position is ideal for someone who can lead by example and keep things running smoothly. The right candidate will bring a strong background in automotive parts, excellent organizational skills, and proven experience in stock control, dispatch, and team coordination. Automotive knowledge is essential if you know what an alternator looks like and understand the difference between a cam cover and a sump, you might be the ideal fit. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily warehouse and dispatch operations to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time. Lead, support, and coordinate warehouse staff, helping to allocate tasks, maintain workflow, and drive team accountability. Manage the receipt of goods, stock levels, reorder points, and Kanban processes to maintain stock availability and accuracy. Monitor and improve warehouse processes, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve turnaround times. Assist in pick packing, dispatch, and light assembly of components where required. Ensure stock is correctly recorded, controlled, and maintained in our ERP system (Odoo). Maintain organized workflows for packing, labelling, dispatching, and storage of goods. Generate reports, monitor KPIs, and provide regular updates on dispatch performance, stock movements, and warehouse efficiency. Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and stock investigations using spreadsheets and ERP tools. Ensure the warehouse is safe, clean, and well-organized, in line with WHS standards. Train and support team members in warehouse procedures, systems, and best practices. Liaise with purchasing, sales, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely fulfilment of orders. Assist in labelling components and kits with barcoded parts labels. Key Requirements: Automotive knowledge: Thorough understanding of automotive parts and terminology. Leadership experience: Previous experience supervising or managing warehouse, dispatch, or stock control operations. Stock control skills: Experience with reorder points, Kanban, and modern inventory practices. Systems experience: Prior use of ERP/stock control systems (Odoo experience highly regarded). Technical skills: Strong computer proficiency, especially with spreadsheets (Excel / Google Sheets). Organization and communication: Strong ability to priorities tasks, solve problems, and communicate effectively across teams. Work ethic: Ability to work at pace in a busy warehouse environment while maintaining accuracy and high standards. Physical capability: Ability to lift and move boxes as required.
