An exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced Finance Manager to join the team based in southern Tasmania. Your new roleReporting directly to the CFO, the Finance Manager is responsible for the full financial management, processing, and reporting functions for our client. Leading a capable finance team, you will provide strategic financial insight, ensure strong governance and internal controls, and support organisational objectives through high-quality reporting, budgeting, and analysis. This role combines hands-on technical accountability with leadership, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement. Your core responsibilities will include: Deliver accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including variance analysis, budgets and cash flow forecasting. Lead the annual budgeting process across recurrent, capital and cash flow budgets. Oversee general ledger integrity, reconciliations, statutory and regulatory reporting (ABS, BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax). Manage treasury activities, internal financial and payroll controls, and overall financial governance. Provide financial analysis for tenders, key projects and decision-making, while managing relationships with auditors, banks and external advisors. Lead, coach and performancemanage the Finance Team, acting as leave relief for the General Manager Financial Services and championing safety and wellbeing. What you''ll need to succeedYoure a confident and technically strong finance leader who thrives in a complex operating environment and enjoys influencing outcomes across an organisation. You hold a bachelors degree in accounting or a higher qualification, along with CPA or CAANZ accreditation and at least five years of postqualification experience. Your background will demonstrate proven capability across financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and payroll, supported by strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Youll also bring demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring and performance management, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. High-level written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is advanced capability in MS Excel and experience working with financial systems. You will be highly organised, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a fastpaced environment.
