We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Disability Support Worker to join our team. This role requires someone confident in providing personal care, supporting participants with community access, and working with clients who may have complex backgrounds, including experience in environments such as corrections and secure facilities. Key Responsibilities Providing personal care support (showering, toileting, grooming, dressing) Supporting participants with community access (appointments, shopping, social outings) Encouraging independence and participation in meaningful activities Managing challenging behaviours calmly and professionally when required Assisting with meal preparation and light domestic duties Following support plans, risk assessments, and safety procedures Completing shift notes and incident reporting as required Maintaining professional boundaries and respectful communication at all times Essential Requirements Previous disability support experience, including personal care Experience working in high-risk environments (e.g., corrections, secure facilities, or similar settings) is highly regarded Strong communication and de-escalation skills Ability to remain calm under pressure and follow strict procedures Manual Handling training (preferred) Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle (preferred) Pay: $32.00 $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 3.0 16.0 per week Licence/Certification: NDIS Worker Screening Check (Required) Working with Children Check (Required) NDIS Worker Orientation Module (Required) First Aid Certification (Required) CPR Certification (Required) Driver Licence (Required) Manual Handling (Required) Medication Management Training (Required) Infection Prevention and Control Training (Required) Fire Safety Training (Required) Work Authorisation: Australia (Required) Work Location: In person
