Job description 12-month contract Recruitment for this position is facilitated by Exant HR on behalf of Firesticks Alliance Indigenous Corporation (Firesticks). We are seeking a Community Network Programs Lead to provide leadership, guidance and handson support to our Community partners across multiple regions of Australia. About Firesticks The Firesticks Alliance Indigenous Corporation (Firesticks) is a not-for-profit, Indigenous-led organisation supporting regional and community networks with revitalising and strengthening Indigenous knowledge systems and practices to create positive cultural, social, environmental and economic impact. Through partnerships and our networks, we support the activation of learning, employment and enterprise opportunities and pathways to restore healthy and resilient landscapes and Communities across Australia through Indigenous cultural fire and land management initiatives. About the role The Community Network Programs Lead supports Community partners with program and project management across multiple regions, including funding, budgeting, contracts, systems and reporting. The role also works closely with Community partners to support relationships, capacity building and the development of pathways that support longerterm autonomy and outcomes. This role will also provide leadership and oversight to practitioners and project officers. This is a remote position, with some regional and national travel as required. 12-month full-time contract, with the possibility of extension. Key responsibilities In this role, you will: Provide oversight and mentoring to Community Partners on programs and projects, including monitoring progress, priorities, barriers and resourcing. Support and build relationships with new and existing Community partners and network stakeholders. Support the development of Healthy Country Plans and Autonomous Community plans, and coordinate Community initiatives and activities. Facilitate communication and collaboration between Community Partners and wider stakeholders. Lead the coordination and administration of Communityled programs and projects, including evaluation, reporting and data collection. Support continuous improvement by monitoring trends in Community engagement and Indigenous selfdetermination and contributing to organisational improvements. About you To be successful in this role, you will bring: A minimum of 3 years experience in a leadership role Demonstrated ability to engage respectfully and effectively with Indigenous peoples and Communities A strong commitment to Firesticks values and mission Strong practical experience in program and project management, including budgeting, contract management, reporting, evaluation and learning Experience leading, coordinating and working across multiple remote teams in different regions Demonstrated understanding of Community engagement principles and strategies, with a focus on supporting Community autonomy Excellent communication, problemsolving and organisational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, remote collaboration tools and project-related information systems Ability to travel regionally and nationally Hold a current Open driver''s licence Ability to work flexibly Desirable experience Experience working in an Indigenous notforprofit or Communityfocused organisation Experience in project management in areas such as Indigenous Ranger or Working on Country Programs, Indigenous Protected Areas programs or similar A degree (or equivalent experience) in Conservation, Program or Project Management, Community Development or a related field Experience facilitating workshops, training or mentoring activities For enquiries about this position, please contact using the subject line: Programs Lead - Community Network - Remote / Work from Home enquiry via EthicalJobs.
