We are seeking an experienced Centre Manager/ Nominated Supervisor to lead our small, family orientated early learning centre nestled in the heart of the Illawarra. The successful applicant will oversee and support the care and education of up to 30 children per day. The ideal candidate must have previous experience in a similar role, strong team leadership, with experience leading, inspiring and developing a team of professional educators. Duties include: Managing the day to day operations of the centre, in line with centre policies and procedures and the National Quality Framework (NQF) and advocate and support a child safe environment at all times Providing leadership and guidance to all educators Represent the centre as the Nominated Supervisor Ensuring the safety & wellbeing of children, educators, families and our community Recruit, induct, support and mentor educators Supporting the implementation of continuous improvement initiate, develop, drive and role model best practice throughout the service, and strive for excellence in every area. To be successful in this role you must have: A minimum Diploma in Children Services or a degree in early childhood. A current Working with Children Check, current child protection & first aid training. Extensive knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) Experience in supporting the successful implementation of the National Quality Standards (NQS) Extensive knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations Strong understanding of the child safe standards. Extensive knowledge of the EYLF and program, previous experience as Educational Leader highly regarded Extensive knowledge of providing a child safe environment and complying with the child safe standards and mandatory reporting obligations Knowledge of CCS, OWNA (or similar programs) Excellent written, computer and communication skills.
