You''ll report directly to our Workshop Manager and step into real ownership of the floor: daily scheduling, team supervision, quality control, toolbox talks, safety audits, parts and inventory, and keeping the whole show running. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the centre of a busy workshop - not behind a desk. WHAT YOU''LL BE DOING Running the daily workshop schedule and team briefings Assigning jobs to technicians based on skills and workload Conducting quality checks on completed work - every vehicle, every time Keeping the floor safe, clean, and compliant Managing parts orders and inventory in line with budget Supporting and developing your team - including apprentices Completing Pink/Blue/Brown Slips as required Reporting on workshop performance - productivity, efficiency, and quality WHAT YOU''LL BRING Cert III (or higher) in Light or Heavy Vehicle Diesel and light commercial/small truck experience - essential Brown Slip authorisation - essential Experience in a supervisory or leading-hand role in an automotive workshop Strong communication skills with your team and with customers Proficiency with workshop management software Valid driver''s licence Pink Slip, Blue Slip, or Heavy Vehicle authorisations WHAT YOU''LL GET Competitive salary open to negotiating with the right person Birthday leave + loyalty leave (no one else offers this type of leave) Fortnightly team BBQ Real work/life balance MonFri, 7:304:30, no weekends (OT where it''s only absolutely necessary) Modern, well-equipped 6-bay workshop A close-knit, high-performing team that backs each other VETERAN FAMILY-OWNED.
