Deliver handson, competencybased mentoring through regular site visits, coaching, progress monitoring, feedback and support. Work as part of the Apprentice Unit to support recruitment activities, preapprenticeship programs and continuous improvement of training outcomes.For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and information pack.About youYou bring demonstrated experience in a relevant trade discipline and hold the essential qualifications, authorisations and/or licences, relevant to the program you are supporting. We have two temporary positions available (up to 24 months): Workplace Mentor, Electrical (Signals) - You hold a Certificate IV in Rail Signalling (UEE41223), in addition to your Certificate III in Electrotechnology (UEE30820) or hold a Certificate III in Electrotechnology and a Qualified Supervisor Certificate. Workplace Mentor, Electrical (Rail Overhead Line Workers / Rail-traction) - You hold a Certificate III - ESI - Rail Traction (UET30721).You have a positive, supportive mentoring mindset and are comfortable guiding apprentices through coaching and hands-on development. You''re also collaborative and adaptable and able to work to program objective. You hold a current Australian drivers licence and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain). A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable but not essential.The positions are based on-site at Clyde. Regular travel is required to provide onthejob, oneonone mentoring to apprentices across multiple sites and depots.
