Are you ready to make your mark in the world of diplomacy? Were looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Press Officer to join a dynamic Canberra-based Diplomatic Mission. Reporting to the Embassy Spokesperson, you''ll be the voice behind shaping how the mission is portrayed in the Australian media. Were after someone with strong communication skills (both written and verbal), excellent organizational abilities, ability to story tell and analyses speeches and a keen understanding of the Australian political landscape. This is a full-time, permanent position in Canberra, offering a great opportunity to develop your career in an exciting field. A Bachelors degree is required (in media and communication being a bonus!). Key Responsibilities: Keep an eye and report on Australian media coverage related to the missions key issues. Build and maintain positive relationships with national press and media outlets, both in person and online. Analyze trends and media reactions, ensuring accurate and balanced coverage. Provide strategic advice to the missions leadership on how to promote foreign policy interests. Correct misinformation and counter disinformation with tact and professionalism.
