Full time / Part Time - Shellharbour Private Hospital & Wollongong Day Surgery About the Business: Shellharbour Private Hospital is a 60-bed hospital with consultancy, outpatient, rehabilitation day programs, surgical, general medical and rehabilitation services. Wollongong Day Surgery provides high quality surgical services in a range of specialties including gastroenterology, ophthalmology, orthopaedic, IVF, gynaecology, adult and paediatric dental surgery, ENT, oral and maxillofacial surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery and general surgery. About the Role: Reporting to each site''s DCS, the Quality & Risk Manager is a position that plays a critical leadership role in promoting a culture of exceptional quality and safety across Shellharbour Private Hospital and Wollongong Day Surgery. The success profile and key accountabilities of this position include: Reflecting Healthe Care''s strategic direction in maintaining a local quality and risk strategic plan that creates a pathway to developing, maintaining and improving quality and safety standards. Manage a professional development program for increased staff knowledge and awareness surrounding quality and risk systems, and fostering the skills required to maintain a safe working environment for themselves, their coworkers and visitors to the hospital. Maintain a risk identification framework in creating a culture of ''risk mitigation'' and ''risk management'' to prevent incidents from arising. Develop and implement proactive strategies to increase awareness of HIMS from both a quality and risk management perspective. Critically review all HIMS entries to establish learning outcomes and identify actions required to avoid, manage and control identified risks. Provide professional guidance and direction to the Work Health & Safety Committee, including professional development as necessary. Provide monthly reports to the site Executive Teams regarding quality and risk performance. Facilitate the compilation of specialty clinical registry data and participate in internal and external clinical outcome reviews via craft group meetings Essential Criteria Current nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse or tertiary qualifications in Allied Health with registration/relevant eligibility for association membership, with at least 3 years postgraduate experience Comprehensive understanding of the National Safety and Quality in Healthcare Standards and accreditation processes This role will require the employee to work across both Shellharbour Private Hospital & Wollongong Day Surgery.
