Be part of a supportive environment, where you can apply your skills to address complex healthcare needs while broadening your treatment capabilities to maximise patient outcomes.The RoleWe are currently looking for a qualified Registered Nurse currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and with at least one full year of nursing experience.The Registered Nurse performs reception screening and comprehensive health assessments on persons received into custody whilst assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing management.The LocationThe Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre (MRRC) is a maximum-security correctional facility for male offenders and is one of 3 correctional facilities within the Silverwater Correctional Complex in Sydney. Inmates who arrive at the MRRC:Come directly from court on remandStay at the MRRC while they attend court in the Sydney Metropolitan Area (before returning to their home correctional centre)Stay at the MRRC while they await a vacancy at a centre matching their classification.Most offenders leave the centre within a few months of their arrival, usually because they obtain bail (and release) or transfer centreSalary & BenefitsYour hourly rate of $39.51 - $52.62 per hour + superannuation is just the beginning.
