About the role The Library Technician (Library Resource Services) supports the delivery of highquality customer facing and digital library resources across TAFE NSW. Working collaboratively in a highvolume, dynamic environment, the role focuses on the processing, cataloguing and maintenance of resources, including records management and the accurate receipt and invoicing of library materials from suppliers. About you You are a Diploma qualified Library Technician who enjoys working in a busy, servicefocused environment and takes pride in producing accurate, highquality work. You are comfortable using library systems and digital technologies, adapt well to changes in systems and work practices, and contribute positively to improving processes and workflows. With a strong customerfirst approach, you manage issues effectively, including escalation when required, while supporting efficient and reliable service delivery. Requirements: Eligibility for para-professional membership of Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and an ALIA accredited library and information science qualification. (Check for your qualification on the ALIA Website) Broad knowledge and understanding in library systems, collections and services and ability to perform acquisition and copy cataloguing tasks and activities.
