About the role Foster independence and empower our clients to achieve their goals through encouragement and guidance Facilitate community participation and social inclusion Provide positive support to our clients with their daily activities, such as meal preparation, hygiene routines and medication management, promoting a sense of stability and routine via in-home and day activity care. Respond promptly and effectively to any challenges or issues that may arise, ensuring a positive, safe and nurturing environment for everyone. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of individual progress and activities, while adhering to Cara''s policies and procedures. About you Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with complex care needs, including clients who present with high behavioural needs, with the confidence to respond effectively in challenging situations. Must be a confident driver with at least a P2 drivers licence and willingness to operate an accessible van (training provided) to take clients to appointment in Adelaide. Availability to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts is required, including a minimum of one overnight shift each week and alternate weekends A passion for supporting people with disabilities to live their best lives. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships. Flexibility and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team. Have valid work visa and rights to work in Australia. Hold a current First Aid Certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Working with Children Check - or willing to obtain. Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent experience (not essential but desirable).
