Are you driven to improve how government works?This is a senior leadership opportunity to design, streamline and embed better business and system processes across Government & Parliamentary Services using insights, technology and strong operating discipline to lift performance, consistency, capability and impact.About the roleCombining business improvement expertise with deep government understanding, this role leads an enterprise-wide program of process reform, capability uplift and insight-driven improvement.You will take a clientfocused, systems-based approach to enabling the Government & Parliamentary Services branch to deliver vital support to the business.Key responsibilitiesIn this role, you will: Lead business and systems process improvement across Government & Parliamentary Services, developing of standardised ways of working, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce duplication and lifting service quality using data, feedback and emerging technologies. Design and deliver capability frameworks, training programs and practical tools that strengthen organisational understanding of government, Parliament, Westminster processes and political operating environments. Partner with learning and data teams across Transport to embed continuous improvement, insight-led decision making and modern service practices. Oversee the delivery of high-quality analytics and reporting, intelligence and issue analysis to enable proactive, evidence-based advice to Ministers Offices, the Secretary, Executive Leadership Team and senior stakeholders. Lead and empower a high-performing team, setting clear direction and fostering a culture of accountability, learning and innovation. About youYou are a senior leader with a strong track record in business improvement, systems reform and capability building within complex organisations.You bring: Demonstrated experience leading process redesign and standardisation, service improvement or operating model uplift in large, fast-paced environments. A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to work effectively across functions and influence at executive levels. A strong customer and stakeholder focus, balancing competing priorities and tight deadlines with sound judgment. Strong analytical capability, with the ability to turn complex information, data and trends into clear, actionable insights for senior decision-makers. An understanding of State Government systems, Ministerial Offices, Parliament and Machinery of Government (highly regarded). Confidence using data, digital tools and emerging technologies (including AI) to drive performance improvement and smarter decision making.
