Are you calm, reliable, and confident working independently at night? Join us at The Great Aussie Bush Camp in Lake Macquarie as a Night Supervisor, where youll play an important role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of young campers during their overnight stay. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys responsibility, communicates well, and wants to make a positive difference in a unique outdoor environment. Hours of Work Monday and Wednesday 8.30 pm to 6.00 am and Tuesday and Thursday 9.00 pm to 6.00 am during school terms What Youll Do Maintain a visible presence around camp and ensure camper safety throughout the night Monitor behaviour and noise levels to support a positive environment Assist children who may feel unsettled, anxious, or homesick Conduct regular patrols and respond to reasonable requests from teachers and clients Manage first aid situations or emergencies in line with procedures Communicate with teachers about any concerns or student needs Record overnight issues for the Centre Managers review Complete basic kitchen duties in preparation for breakfast What Youll Bring Able to work independently and confidently in a solo role Strong communication and interpersonal skills Calm, patient, and approachable demeanour Good judgement and ability to handle challenging situations Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility Experience working with young people or in a supervisory role is highly regarded Requirements Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) Ability to work overnight shifts Current First Aid certificate Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work rights Fluent English Child Safe Commitment The Great Aussie Bush Camp is committed to ensure that every child and young person has the right to be safe and protected.
