About the role The Senior Coordinator Corporate Communicationsis responsible fordeveloping and supporting a range of corporate communications programs that contributeto influencing and shaping the visitor economytimely. This includes preparing high-quality communications materials, briefs and correspondence thatareconsistent and aligned to the organisational corporate brand and voice. A key focus of this role is providing complex and sensitive advice to address a wide range of media and communications risks and issues in a high-volume and high-pressure environment. This includes responding to media enquiries, providing on-call media support, andparticipatingin the 24/7 Press Office roster. This role also supports the Minister and other elected representatives through event planning and coordination, drafting media releases,speechesand other relevant communications. In addition, the role supports improvements to systems,processesand ways of working to help the team deliver consistent, highquality communications and meet deadlines in a highvolume environment. About You You are an experienced communications professional who can produce clear,accurateand wellwritten content in a fastpaced environment. You take care with detail and understand the importance of getting information right, especially when working on public,mediaor Ministerial communications. You have experience preparing media releases, briefs, key messages and other corporate communications, and you are comfortable supporting media enquiries and announcements. You can manage competing deadlines, stay calm underpressureand respond quickly when issues arise. You work well with a range of people and can build effective working relationships with colleagues, seniorleadersand external stakeholders. You use sound judgement when dealing with sensitive matters and canidentifypotential risks early and help manage them through clear andtimelycommunication. Essential Requirements Tertiary qualifications in communications and/or strong relevant experience. Willingness and ability to work out of hours and to be available on call asrequired. Key Knowledge and Experience Demonstrated experience in corporate communications with a demonstrated ability to deliver high quality corporate content across a range of mediums. Demonstrated understanding of the current media and political landscape.
