Whilst its core business is pearling, including pearl production, wholesale and retail, it also has extensive involvement in the aviation industry, the rural industry and commercial property. Our pearling operation is extensive and spans coastal regions from Exmouth, WA around to the north of Darwin, NT. Our pearl farms are positioned amongst some of the worlds most spectacular coastline and unique marine environments. We seek an experienced and reliable applicants for our Workshop Trade Assistant role, available at our Darwin location on a Full-time basis. This role includes responsibility for: Carry out work as programmed by the Manager Darwin Workshop and Workshop Supervisor. Undertake all general cleaning duties in the workshop and yard as directed by supervisor. Work under full supervision from tradesmen or supervisor on Companies vessels or equipment and assist others in the completion of their tasks as required to the standards required by the company. Undertake cleaning of parts and equipment along with painting duties, complete limited GRP repairs as required. Complete delivery and pick up of parts and materials as required by supervisor. Complete daily time sheets, sign work instructions on completion of jobs as directed. Maintain a clean and tidy work area, be responsible for Company equipment and tools you use to complete daily tasks. Comply with all Northern Territory and Western Australian Legislation, USL Code and company OH&S systems in your workplace. The successful candidates must: - Hold a White Card - Basic computer skills - Hold a current drivers license - Have general stores knowledge - Have Australian Citizenship or Residency with full work rights All employees will be subject to a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing.
