About the business and the role Pureharvest is a health food company located in Drouin, Victoria. Due to growth and expansion, we are looking for a suitably experienced and qualified fitter and turner to work closely with all personnel involved in maintaining plant and equipment. Job tasks and responsibilities Attend to the servicing of allfilling machines and assist inday-to-day production requirements. Servicing UHT plant and filling machines and working in other production areas as required. Carry out preventative maintenance checks and replacement of parts when required. Fabricate as necessary utilising maintenance skills such as machining and welding. This is a fulltime position (38 hrs per week) working an afternoon shift. Some flexibility to work other shifts, some weekend work and overtime as necessary is required. Skills and experience To be considered for this position you will require a relevant Trade Qualification as well as previous experience in the food and/or dairy packaging or process related industries. Holding a secondary trade qualification will be highly desirable but not essential and forklift license would be desirable but not essential. Due to the nature of the role, applicants must have knowledge and skills in Pneumatics, Hydraulics and Schematics, Ink Jet Coders, Pumps, UHT Processes, Homogenisers and low voltage electrics. Some basic electrical knowledge and a restricted license would be advantageous. Good communication skills are required Experience using maintenance programs (MEX) would be an advantage but not necessary.
