About the role: Reporting to the Project Supervisor, youll lead the Hotworks Team, overseeing day-to-day operations across local and occasional interstate projects. This is a hands-on leadership role where youll mentor apprentices, coordinate workloads, and maintain high standards in safety, quality, and productivity. Key Responsibilities: Leading and mentoring team members, apprentices, and subcontractors onsite Planning and executing boilermaking/welding tasks safely and efficiently Assisting with hands-on fabrication work as needed Managing resourcing, work scope, and team objectives Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and correct PPE usage Receiving and processing materials and equipment Collaborating with internal departments to ensure project success What You''ll Need To Succeed: Essential Criteria: Trade qualified Boilermaker with minimum 5 years experience Proven leadership experience and a commitment to quality workmanship Strong knowledge of welding procedures and applications Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Safety-focused with the ability to identify and mitigate hazards Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces White Card (Construction Safety Awareness Training) Fit for work, able to pass drug & alcohol screening WA Driver''s License and eligibility for military site access Desirable Criteria: Marine defence and commercial industry experience.
