Position: Retail Manager (ANZSCO 142111) Location: Traralgon East, VIC 3844 Employment Type: Full-time 38 hours per week Salary: AUD $77,000 $80,000 per annum + superannuation About the Company Impex Imports International Pty Ltd, trading as Harbour Lane Furniture, is a retail business specialising in the sale of furniture and home dcor products. The company operates a physical retail store and is responsible for delivering sales, customer service, and merchandising outcomes in a competitive retail environment. Role Overview The Retail Manager role is a full-time position responsible for planning, organising, directing, controlling, and coordinating the overall operations of the retail establishment, in line with ANZSCO 142111 Retail Manager. The role is critical to business performance and requires independent decision-making across sales, staffing, and operational functions. Duties and Responsibilities Plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate the overall operations of the retail store Determine product mix, stock levels and service standards in accordance with business objectives Formulate and implement purchasing, pricing and marketing policies Promote and advertise the establishments goods and services to maximise sales revenue Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales targets Maintain records of stock levels, financial transactions, and store performance Manage budgeting, cost control and financial reporting for the store Recruit, train, supervise and performance-manage staff Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (WHS) regulations and retail industry standards Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and resolve customer complaints Skills and Experience At least 2 years of relevant work experience as a Retail Manager or in a closely related role Demonstrated experience in managing retail operations, including staff supervision and sales performance Strong knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and stock control processes Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control Ability to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills Excellent communication and customer service skills If you''re an experienced Retail Manager looking to join a dynamic and growing team, apply now for this exciting opportunity.
