REQ645145Staff Specialist or Post Graduate Fellow in Paediatric Intensive Care MedicineJohn Hunter Hospital, Newcastle NSW1.0 FTE available fixed term for 12mths or conversion to permanent for SS for the right personPotential for part time or full time with smaller fractions (ie 2 x 0.5 OR 1 x 0.3 and 1 x 0.7) depending on candidates suitability and best for serviceAre you looking to join a dynamic and supportive Paediatric Intensive Care team in one of NSWs leading tertiary hospitals?About the RoleDepending on your level of experience, this opportunity to become one of our team in our expanding Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at John Hunter Hospital will either be as a Staff Specialist or a Post Graduate Fellow in Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine.The successful candidate will: Provide high-quality clinical care to critically ill children across the Hunter New England Local Health District and the Northern Child Health Network. Participate in teaching, quality improvement, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Have a primary medical degree registered with AHPRA. Have Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (CICM) and/or overseas trained specialist pathways. Demonstrated by recent and comprehensive experience in Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine Have clinical experience and interest in Paediatric Intensive Care MedicineAbout Our PICU Opened as a standalone unit in 2017 and continues to grow in size and complexity. One of three tertiary paediatric hospitals in NSW. Primary trauma referral centre for northern NSW. Supports the Hunter Retrieval Service and provides advice to the Newborn and Paediatric Emergency Transport Service (NETS).
