Role Overview The Assistant Manager Broodmare supports the Broodmare Manager in all aspects of the breeding operation and must be capable of stepping into the role during absences. This is a hands-on leadership role combining horse care, breeding management, record keeping, and team coordination. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate records (daily logs, feeding systems, Ardex) Support and manage broodmare health, breeding, foaling, and reproductive programs Oversee foals, weanlings, and yearlings through to sale preparation Manage feeding programs, grooming, hygiene, and general horse welfare Coordinate veterinary and farrier schedules and related records Support staff supervision, mentoring, and workflow coordination Ensure compliance with farm safety and biosecurity standards Assist with preparation of horses for yearling sales
