Were launching the Complex Medical Inpatient Unit (CMIPU) a purpose built 21 bed service supporting children with diverse, complex and highly coordinated care needs. Opening in May 2026, this Australian first model is designed to provide stability, continuity and relationship based care for children who experience frequent or prolonged hospital stays.Within the CMIPU, youll also care for a cohort of children who require long term ventilation via a tracheostomy.
