About the Role Renko is seeking a proactive and people-focused Human Resources Officer to support our rapidly growing group of businesses across manufacturing, electrical contracting, automation engineering, fabrication, and industrial services.This role is hands-on and varied, supporting the full employee lifecycle while contributing to a positive, high-performance workplace culture. As the Human Resources Officer, you will play a key role in payroll coordination, recruitment, onboarding, training support, employee engagement, and compliance administration. You will work closely with management and team leaders to ensure our teams are supported, our processes are efficient, and our people experience is consistently strong. Responsibilities Payroll & Administration Coordinate end-to-end payroll processing in line with relevant awards and legislation. Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HR documentation. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Manage job postings, screening, interviewing, and reference checks. Proactively search, source, and attract high-quality candidates across multiple industries. Onboarding & Offboarding Prepare contracts, induction packs, and onboarding schedules. Coordinate exit processes, handovers, and compliance requirements. Performance & Culture Assist with performance management processes, reviews, and improvement plans. Support initiatives that build team culture, engagement, recognition, and communication. Training & Development Assist with training plans, skills matrices, and apprenticeship coordination. Track mandatory training, licences, and renewal schedules. Immigration & Compliance Coordinate documentation and communication with immigration agents and government departments. Maintain compliance with workplace legislation, visas, WHS requirements, and company policies. Key Skills & Attributes Experience in HR, payroll, or administration in a multi-disciplinary or trade-based environment (highly regarded). Strong understanding of recruitment processes and candidate sourcing strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. High level of confidentiality, discretion, and attention to detail. Familiarity with Fair Work requirements, awards, WHS, and employment legislation is advantageous. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with managers and team leaders. Requirements HR or business qualification (desirable but not essential). Payroll experience or familiarity with payroll systems. Competent with Microsoft Office and general admin tools. Legal right to work in Australia.
