About the roleHarris Smokehouse is on the hunt for a switched-on Warehouse / Storeperson to become a cornerstone of our production and distribution team. Based in our modern warehouse facility in Mount Barker, you''ll keep our inventory moving smoothly from the dock door through to despatch while upholding the high standards our customers and team depend on. What you''ll be doing Unload and receive incoming goods, verifying quantities and condition against documentation Organise and store stock in the warehouse, maintaining accurate inventory records throughout Pick, pack, and despatch orders to meet customer requirements on time and in full Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanning devices Set up production rooms with the correct inventory ahead of each day''s manufacturing runs Complete warehouse administration tasks and report regularly on inventory levels Conduct weekly and monthly stocktakes, ensuring records remain accurate and up to date Maintain a clean and hygienic warehouse environment in full compliance with HACCP procedures Adhere to all health, safety, and quality procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all What we''re looking for Essential Valid forklift licence with hands-on experience Essential Unrestricted driver''s licence Essential Strong computer skills and confidence with inventory software Essential Solid understanding of HACCP and WHS requirements Essential Physically fit with the ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting Essential Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure Preferred Prior warehouse or distribution centre experience Preferred Experience in pick packing and order despatch Preferred Familiarity with inventory management systems and processes Preferred Proactive, team-oriented approach with great communication skills
