Primary objective Deliver a program of activities and services to enable the development and growth of a Northern Territory (NT) Screen Industry that is professional, viable and sustainable, producing sought-after quality content. Key duties and responsibilities 1. Develop effective relationships with stakeholders including NT screen practitioners, broadcasters, streamers, other screen agencies, distributors and production companies that may be potential partners in NT screen projects. 2. Develop collaborative relationships and arrangements across the NT public and private sectors that will deliver strategic and coordinated approaches to growing the NT screen and games industry including organising and managing training initiatives. 3. Manage screen industry development initiatives and grant programs including the raising, negotiating and management of contracts, with a focus on maximising opportunities for local screen practitioners and increasing the scale and long- term sustainability of the NT screen sector. 4. Actively build relationships with NT screen practitioners to maintain awareness of NT screen projects and connect practitioners with Screen Territory funding programs. 5. Manage screen events and industry development initiatives including upskilling programs. 6. Provide high level written advice, correspondence, data and policy briefings to Senior Director in support Screen Territorys work. 7. Provide financial and budget management support to the Senior Director Screen Territory. 8. Maintain current knowledge of screen industry market, trends, technologies and initiatives being developed by other state, national or international screen agencies or organisations. 9. Represent Screen Territory at local and national events, meetings and forums. Selection criteriaEssential 1. Knowledge and understanding of the screen sector including industry trends. 2. Experience in industry development, training and upskilling, production investment / facilitation of physical production, crew management 3. The ability to operate effectively, professionally, flexibly and with a principled approach within the public sector. 4. Capability in cultivating productive, cooperative working relationships with government and industry stakeholders. 5. High level project management skills and the ability to commit to action, balance competing priorities and deliver intended results on time. 6. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise collaboratively and sensitively with emerging and experienced screen professionals and intra-government stakeholders. 7. The ability to travel, to work at times independently and in a team environment, interact effectively with people from diverse cultures, and ensure work health and safety system compliance. 8. Demonstrable ability to structure, organise and run upskilling and training initiatives and screen events 9. Experience in contract management including drafting and enforcement of contractual conditions. Desirable 1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
