Step into a pivotal role at the heart of patient safety as a Sterilisation Services Educator, where youll lead, inspire, and upskill a dedicated team to deliver the highest standards in sterilisation practice. In this dynamic position, youll design and deliver engaging training programs, support ongoing staff development, and ensure all processes meet strict regulatory standards, including AS/NZ 4187. Working closely with the Sterilisation Services Manager and multidisciplinary teams, youll foster a strong learning culture, drive continuous improvement, and ensure every instrument is processed with precision, care, and compliance. Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra Shoalhavens major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services. In addition, please note you must have the following essential requirements: Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role. Working With Children Check (WWCC) Must hold Certificate III in Sterilisation Services. Must hold Cert IV in Training and Assessment or enrolled with academic transcript evidence of course progression. Current experience in all areas of the Sterilisation Services Department in an acute hospital setting, including Loan and Endoscope reprocessing.
