An emergency vet is required at a long-established, leading emergency care facility on the Central Coast of New South Wales. The role offers flexibility, with full time, part time, or casual arrangements available, generally between 20 and 36 hours per week. Shifts range from three to twelve hours and include a shared rotating roster of nights, weekends and some public holidays. Some sole charge is required, but back up is always provided. Salary ranges from $140,000 to $185,000 (full time) plus super and continuing education allowances, and negotiation is available for highly exceptional candidates. Staff come first at the practice. As such, most of the vets have been a part of the team for over five years, and some more than ten. The team are close-knit, with support available from an on-site criticalist, highly experienced emergency clinicians, as well as a network of specialists in internal medicine, surgery, oncology, ophthalmology, radiology and dermatology. The ideal candidate will have some emergency experience, along with a positive attitude and a strong drive to learn and deliver excellent patient care.
