We care for thousands of children each year in our hospitals and in their homes with one purpose in mind to help young people live their healthiest lives.What you''ll be doingThe purpose of this position is to assist in the conduct of the SCHN Investment and Prioritisation Project entitled Precision dosing of Anticancer Therapy.This will involve: Establishing and performing difficult and specialised assays involving high performance liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, spectrophotometric methods and/or mass spectrometry. Developing analytical methods for current and new therapeutic agents in biological fluids and tissues Validating new methods to NATA standards and preparing the documentation required for addition of new tests to scope. Maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting methods and equipment. Participating in quality assurance and education activities as required. Giving talks, if required. Performing pharmacokinetic assessment in real-time to allow precision dosing of anticancer agents and communicating the results to clinicians treating the patients. Participating in pharmacokinetic / pharmacodynamics research to identify clinical decision limits for precision dosing. This will include literature review as well as pharmacokinetic modelling projects using software such as NONMEM. Publishing research journal articles.
