The racing industry makes a meaningful contribution to Tasmanias regional communities through employment, economic activity and longstanding community engagement. The Tasracing Board provides strategic direction, effective oversight and sound governance, while guiding the organisation through ongoing regulatory, cultural and operational reform to support the longterm sustainability of the Tasmanian racing industry. Tasracing is seeking to appoint an experienced and highly regarded Chairperson to lead its Board through a period of significant transition and reform within Tasmanias racing industry and the implementation of new integrity and governance arrangements. The Chairperson role presents a genuine opportunity to shape the strategic direction of a significant, highprofile organisation at a pivotal point in its evolution. The successful candidate will bring substantial experience at board level, together with commercial acumen and a demonstrated ability to lead through complex change environments. Experience working within governmentowned or regulated entities, along with a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement will be essential. Candidates will be recognised for their integrity, sound judgement and capacity to contribute to a strong, highperforming board culture, while maintaining a clear focus on animal welfare, industry sustainability and community expectations.
