About Our Service Play-based, nature-based program informed by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) Strong emphasis on nature play and loose parts, supporting exploration, creativity, problem-solving, and open-ended learning Outdoor environments designed to foster curiosity, resilience, appropriate risk-taking, and a deep connection with the natural world Flexible indoor/outdoor program supporting autonomy, agency, and child-led learning Strong, respectful partnerships with families and the wider community Commitment to reflective practice, continuous improvement, and high-quality outcomes Educators create safe, secure, and respectful environments where children feel valued and supported The NSW Child Safe Standards are embedded in everyday practice and decision-making Childrens voices are actively respected and inform our program and environment Safe, inclusive, and responsive relationships underpin all interactions What We Offer Supportive, collaborative and highly experienced team Ongoing professional learning and development (paid) Above educator-to-child ratios to support intentional teaching and quality interactions Well-resourced indoor and outdoor learning environments Strong work-life balance aligned with NSW school terms Opportunities to collaborate with allied health professionals A service deeply connected to its local community, valuing families as childrens first and most influential educators Access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to support staff wellbeing About the Role Part-time position: WednesdayFriday, 9:00am 2:00pm Fixed-term contract (Terms 24, with potential for extension) Working with children aged 35 years within a high-quality educational program Key Responsibilities: Build strong, respectful, and responsive relationships with children, families, and colleagues Contribute to the planning and implementation of a play-based, child-led curriculum informed by childrens interests, strengths, and voices Engage in ongoing observation, documentation, and reflective practice aligned with the EYLF Promote childrens sense of belonging, wellbeing, and identity Implement inclusive and responsive practices to support children with diverse needs Assist in setting up and packing away engaging indoor and outdoor learning environments Participate in collaborative team practices and professional dialogue Uphold and model safe, ethical, and professional practice at all times About You Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved) Demonstrated understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, mandatory reporting, and NSW Child Safe Standards Current and valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training Current Child Protection Training and National Child Safe Training You will also demonstrate: Effective communication and relationship-building skills with children, families, and colleagues Ability to work collaboratively while showing initiative and professional judgement Commitment to inclusive practice and supporting children with diverse needs (essential) Experience in a community-based preschool setting (desirable) How to ApplyPlease send your resume (including work history), a short cover letter, and at least two current referees to: Applications will remain open until the right candidate is found.
