About UsQueensland Stairs is a well-established, Gold Coast based stair manufacturing company specialising in high-quality timber staircases, balustrades, handrails, screens and custom architectural joinery, servicing the Gold Coast, Northern NSW, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast. We work closely with leading builders across Queensland and NSW, delivering tailored solutions with a strong focus on craftsmanship, detail and reliability. With a busy and always growing workload, we are looking to expand our installation team. The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Stair Installer to join our team. This is a hands-on role installing custom-built timber staircases and associated components on residential and commercial [project] construction sites. This is not an entry-level position. Important Please Read Before ApplyingWe are specifically looking for applicants who have direct, hands-on experience installing stairs. If you have never installed a staircase before, this role will not be suitable. Key Responsibilities Installation of timber staircases (closed stringer, cut stringer, mono/stringer variants, polish grade and cover grade) Installation of balustrades, handrails, and architectural screens Reading and interpreting shop drawings and plans Ensuring all works are completed to Australian Standards and NCC compliance Working efficiently on-site with builders and other trades Maintaining a high standard of finish and attention to detail Skills & Experience Required Proven experience installing timber staircases (essential) Strong knowledge of stairs, balustrade and handrail systems Solid understanding of building codes and compliance requirements Ability to work unsupervised and problem-solve on-site High level of workmanship and pride in finished product Applicable licences [White Card, etc] Highly Regarded (Bonus Skills) Experience with curved or custom architectural stair work Ability to install complex or high-end designs Trade qualification in carpentry or similar What We Offer Consistent pipeline of work with reputable builders Support from an experienced factory and design team Opportunity to work on high-quality, custom projects Competitive [per component based] pay [ABN required]
