Were seeking an experienced and trusted Senior Ethics and Integrity Officer to join our People and Capability team. This is a pivotal role providing expert advice, conducting misconduct investigations, and shaping a strong integrity culture across a diverse and high-profile department. This position is ideal for someone with experience in fraud and corruption prevention strategies, complex investigative work and advising on the ethical framework. About the role In this role, you will manage and coordinate assessments and investigations into reports of wrongdoing, including matters involving Public Interest Disclosures. Youll provide authoritative advice on ethics and integrity, conflicts of interest, gifts, benefits and hospitality and the ethical framework. A regular part of the role will be contributing to developing robust integrity frameworks and fraud and corruption prevention initiatives. Youll prepare high quality reports, recommendations and briefings for senior executives. As a senior member of the team, youll also contribute to the development and delivery of training and resources to strengthen ethical capability across the department and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support consistent and best practice integrity approaches. About You You will thrive in this role if you have strong experience conducting complex investigations in a large or complex organisation, ideally involving fraud, corruption or serious misconduct. You have capability in fraud & corruption prevention and embedding an ethical framework. Youve demonstrated high level judgement, confidentiality, and the ability to deliver timely and high-quality advisory work. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Youll have relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in investigations (ideally Certificate IV in Government Investigations or willingness to undertake this).
