Position Title: Diploma Qualified Educator Location: Possum Magic Cottage Hours: 37.5 hours per week Operating Hours: MondayFriday, 8:00am5:30pm About the Role We are seeking a confident and experienced Diploma Qualified Educator to step into a position within our service. You will lead by example, support daily operations, and work closely with the Director to ensure the service maintains high standards in education, care, and compliance. While the role is largely on-floor, there will be flexibility for off-floor time when required to complete leadership responsibilities. Key Responsibilities On-Floor Leadership & Program Implementation: Drive and support the daily program in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). Work alongside educators to implement engaging, intentional, and developmentally appropriate experiences. Support daily routines, transitions, and positive behaviour guidance. Maintain high-quality interactions and relationships with children and families. Ensure a safe, nurturing, and compliant learning environment at all times. Additional Responsibilities: Support kitchen duties when required, including meal preparation, serving meals, and maintaining food safety standards. Ensure safe food handling practices are followed in accordance with health regulations. About You: Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA approved equivalent). Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and EYLF. Confident in supporting team performance and driving program quality. Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills. Current Working With Children Check. Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
