URGENT HIRING!!! Department Manager - Produce (Permanent Full-time) Khans IGA Supermarket Picton is seeking an experienced Produce Department Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the produce department. This full-time role requires a hands-on leader who can inspire and guide the team to consistently deliver the highest standards in product quality, presentation, and customer service. Key accountabilities for the role will include: Achieve sales, gross profit, and shrinkage targets Manage ordering and stock control Lead, coach, and develop team members Maintain high standards of department presentation Oversee inventory management and stocktaking Implement in-store marketing and promotional activities Prioritise and delegate tasks effectively Work closely with the Store Manager to drive strong business outcomes and support ongoing store improvements. Skills and Experience Required Previous experience in supermarket produce department or a Fruit shop. Strong numerical skills, including tracking sales, shrinkage, and markdowns Experience using handheld PDE systems for ordering and markdowns Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage team members at all levels Strong organisational and delegation skills Well-developed customer service skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods Our store operates 7 days a week, so flexibility to work a 38-hour roster, including weekends, is essential.
