About the role Allison Off-Highway Drive & Motion Systems are seeking a skilled and reliable Fitter to join their Service team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, assembling and testing gearboxes and related products, ensuring all service, repair and warranty work is completed to the highest quality standards and within agreed timeframes. Key responsibilities Inspect products returned for service, repair or warranty claims Complete service, repair and warranty jobs accurately and on time Assemble or convert products in line with work order specifications Conduct testing, inspection and final quality checks on completed jobs Identify and troubleshoot issues during repairs and escalate where required Accurately report inspection findings and provide recommendations Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment Suggest improvements to workplace layout, safety, productivity and processes Work collaboratively with customers, suppliers and internal teams About you You are a trade-qualified professional who takes pride in your workmanship and attention to detail. You enjoy problem-solving, working methodically, and contributing to team success. Skills & Experience Trade qualification (Cert III or equivalent) Experience with gearbox assembly, servicing or similar mechanical equipment Ability to read and interpret work orders and specifications Strong attention to detail and quality focus Comfortable working independently and in a team Licences such as Forklift or Dogging are desirable.
