The Drug Detection Agency, (TDDA), has a vacancy for an outgoing and motivated Drug and Alcohol Testing Technician on a casual basis. Our Hobart Office is located in the Cambridge area, and we offer our client base both office and onsite drug & alcohol testing. This is an exciting opportunity to provide a wide variety of drug testing and screening services with an acknowledged market leader in the field of workplace drug and alcohol testing. This role has flexible hours and would be perfect for someone with nursing/specimen collection experience, retired police officers, semi-retired or persons currently working casual / part time. Benefit from one-on-one and on-going training to ensure your success Opportunity to gain certificated accreditation Enjoy flexible 24/7 casual hours Uniform provided No experience necessary but desirable TDDA provides a 24/7 service to our clients, and the successful applicant will be required to be available for periods of time where required. Accredited training in conducting on-site drug and alcohol testing and collections will be provided. You must enjoy working autonomously and you will need to have good availability for shifts 24/7. The casual hours fluctuate and are not guaranteed. Start times vary and can include early morning and late afternoon shifts. Full background checks will be conducted as well as a pre-employment drug hair test. A full Australian driver''s licence and the ability to drive a manual vehicle is essential as you will be required to drive a Ford Transit long wheelbase vehicle on a daily basis. Key Responsibilities of the Role: The successful candidate will perform onsite testing in the Hobart area for drugs of abuse from urine or oral fluid specimens, and breath testing for alcohol. You will also be required to maintain chain of custody of samples and detailed records of all visits and samples. Skills and Attributes Required for Success: You will have exceptional personal presentation and interpersonal skills, plus have strong attention to detail. Your time-management skills are excellent,and you will have the ability to work autonomously. Access to reliable transport and a current Manual Driver''s Licence is essential. You will possess a high level of computer literacy and have the ability to complete documentation via electronic and by hand. You must be willing to handle biological specimens and be legally entitled to work and live in Australia.
