The Veterans Home Care (VHC) Program supports eligible veterans and war widows to maintain independence, safety, and quality of life at home. As a Senior Assessor, youll play a pivotal leadership role in shaping how this support is delivered; combining your clinical expertise with team leadership and service improvement. Leading a skilled team of assessors, youll guide decision-making, oversee care planning, and ensure high-quality, consistent outcomes for clients. In this role, you will: Lead, mentor, and support a small, experienced team of assessors in our Tuggerah office Apply your clinical expertise to review, approve, and allocate tailored care plans Collaborate with DVA-approved service providers to ensure seamless service delivery Monitor performance and drive achievement of KPIs across individuals and the team Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service quality and efficiency Partner with fellow Senior Assessors to support workflow, capability building, and team success About You Youre an experienced and passionate allied health or nursing professional ready to take the next step into leadership, or further grow your existing leadership career. You bring: A degree in nursing or allied health (e.g. social work, physiotherapy, occupational therapy) or equivalent experience Must have exceptional I.T. skills and be able to work across multiple platforms Minimum 2 years experience working in aged care Must be an Australian Citizen Demonstrated leadership capability, including team supervision and staff development Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills within aged care or community settings A commitment to person-centred care and achieving meaningful outcomes for clients Confidence managing competing priorities, KPIs, and deadlines Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust across teams and stakeholders A calm, solutions-focused approach to challenges and complaints Integrity, professionalism, and a strong ethical foundation The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment Why work with ADSSI?
