Learn and Laugh is a small family-owned company. We are looking for a Diploma trained educator to enter into a room leader position for our team in the Wyoming Centre. Our Centre offers quality care to 55 children a day, 5 days a week. We are looking for someone who is experienced and passionate about working with children providing engaging curriculums and the ability to use positive communication and role modelling to lead a team. The Role This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Your duties and responsibilities will include: A strong commitment to and understanding of child protection, child safe environments, child safety and supervision. Through understanding of your role as a mandatory reporter. Plan and implement a quality program that reflects the EYLF Develop open communication with educators, children and families Use progressive routines throughout the day and implement indoor and outdoor programs to respond to the needs of individual children Create indoor and outdoor learning environments that provide the children with opportunities to explore, experiment, create, take risks and play Facilitate childrens play through weaving the childrens emerging interests with professional expertise Communicated positively and openly with children on an ongoing basis Provide physical care, assisting children in daily routines and mealtimes Conduct observation and evaluation of childrens development Maintain up-to-date records for each child within the group Respond to the emotional needs of the children Comply with policies and procedures along with licensing, legislation and regulations Create a stimulating, positive and aesthetically pleasing environment to support childrens development Support other educators, manage own time efficiently along with the daily routines and daily requirements of the room and children in their care. Be extremely pro-active and use own initiative. Have excellent English communication skills About You Essential qualifications needed for the position are: Diploma in Early Childhood Services (ACECQA approved) or currently studying towards your Diploma First aid / CPR / Asthma and Anaphylaxis training and current certification (or willingness to obtain) Current Working with Children Check Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $80,898.10 $120,223.41 per year Licence/Certification: Working with Children Check (Required) Work Authorisation: Australia (Required) Work Location: In person
