We are looking for Cafe all-rounders with a strong barista background in coffee or experience working in a busy caf environment. Having worked in a similar position for at least 1 year is preferred. This position will require a minimum of 20 hours per week availability. To be successful, we are looking for someone who: is passionate about providing exceptional customer service. enjoys working in a busy caf environment with a variety of people. Flexible availability is essential for all roles as some weekend work will be required PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 5 Star Service: 1. Always be friendly and helpful to all customers by: o Advising customers on products o Advising customers on special offers and promotions o Advising customers on espresso coffee styles 2. Does whatever it takes in answering customers questions 3. Serve customers according to 5 Star Service standard 4. Educate customers about the Muffin Break exclusive coffee blend 5. Suggests ways to continually improve customer service with manager Safety and Security: 1. Ensures food safety is actively monitored 2. Ensures the espresso machine workstations is clean inside and out, is hygienic and free from clutter 3. Carries out all tasks in a safe manner 4. Accurately record hours worked on a daily basis 5. Reports maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor Operations: 1. Prepares coffee orders following Muffin Break presentation standards 2. Ensures that displays are full, clean, tidy and well presented at all times 3. Carries out all tasks according to Muffin Break espresso coffee procedures 4. Monitors coffee quality 5. Ensures extraction is correct at all times and the grinder is adjusted accordingly 6.
