Join a dynamic, tight knit team as an experienced Commercial Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and strengthening commercial relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts, and driving value across the business. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring commercial outcomes align with organisational objectives while supporting stakeholders with sound commercial advice. Youll work closely with internal stakeholders to provide pragmatic commercial advice, manage risk, and support strategic decision making. The key duties of the position include: Leads and develops high performing teams in fast paced environments, setting clear priorities, managing workloads effectively, and fostering a positive, inclusive team culture. Builds and sustains strong, productive relationships with service providers, partners, and internal stakeholders through clear, purposeful communication. Exercises sound professional judgement to make accountable decisions on complex commercial matters, delivering high quality outcomes and outputs within tight timeframes while balancing competing priorities. Applies extensive contract management expertise to identify and implement commercial, innovative solutions to complex contractual issues. Negotiates confidently in challenging commercial situations, securing value for money outcomes while maintaining constructive, long term relationships. Communicates effectively and professionally with diverse stakeholders, demonstrating strong interpersonal and verbal skills. Interprets and applies relevant government legislation, policy frameworks, and contractual documentation within a Federal Government commercial and operational context. Coaches and mentors team members, reviewing and assuring the quality of work while building capability across the team. Eligibility To be eligible for employment with the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, applicants must be an Australian citizen at the time an offer of employment is made.
