Our Host Employeris a family-owned and highly respected wholesale nursery and flower grower specialising in Australian native wildflowers.They supply high-quality cut flowers and nursery stock to florists, wholesalers, and industry partners right across the country. Their dedicated team works across multiple production sites, cultivating a diverse range of native species, focusing on sustainable practices, high-quality growth, and year-round demand. With decades of experience in native plant cultivation, they pride themselves on strong teamwork, continuous learning, and a passion for Australian flora. They are now seeking a motivated, reliable and enthusiastic apprentice, whether youre just starting out or already partway through your qualification to join their growing team and build a rewarding long-term career in horticulture. WHAT YOULL NEED... A genuine interest in plants, horticulture, or native flora Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude Ability to work well both independently and in a team Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic Physical fitness to handle manual labour Current drivers licence (highly desirable due to location) WHAT YOULL BE DOING... Working full-time Monday to Friday, 7:30am4:00pm, your duties may include: Assisting with propagation, planting, pruning, and general plant care Harvesting and preparing cut flowers for wholesale distribution Watering, fertilising, weeding, and maintaining production areas Monitoring plant health and reporting issues to senior staff Operating tools and equipment safely and effectively Preparing orders, packing, and maintaining stock quality Supporting the team across nursery and growing areas as required As part of this apprenticeship, you will be PAID to study a Certificate III in Nursery Operations through a combination of on-the-job experience and off-the-job training at TAFE Ourimbah over a period of 36 months.
