It is 429 kilometers South of Sydney, 228 kilometers from Canberra or 174 kilometers from the NSW snow fields. Nearby Merimbula (32 kilometers) offers a regional airport with daily flights to Sydney and Melbourne. With many beautiful coastal towns, national parks, snow fields and beaches within a short driving distance, it is the perfect location for those looking to for a family-friendly area with great work-life balance. There is shared JMO lounge.Fully furnished shared accommodation is usually provided to registrars by the hospital.What you''ll be doingThe primary purpose of the position is to provide quality care to patients in a complex clinical environment. Medical Officers will work under an appropriate level of supervision according to their level of competence to evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages presenting in any condition and will work in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings.You may be required to work at different facilities and locations with the NSW public health system. In accepting this position you agree to support core NSW public sector values of cultural diversity, equity and ethical practice, and a healthy, safe and fair workplace and by addressing these core values in training courses and the induction processSelection Criteria:AHPRA Registration with Level 2 Supervision and ABOVE.MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration categoryDemonstrated ability to complete rotations as allocated and required. To work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgement and expertiseDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, including the sharing of appropriate information internally and externally with key persons or servicesDemonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to vary communication style in line with the understanding of the needs of diverse audiencesDemonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and display a flexible approach to meet changing situations in a demanding and unpredictable clinical environmentDemonstrated ongoing commitment to further self-education and professional developmentAt least three years'' post graduate experience in public hospital service (or equivalent)Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific DiseasesThis is a Category A position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directivePD2024_015.
