Join Central Coast Local Health District and deliver trauma informed, recovery focused care within our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).About the OpportunityThis position is based with the Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub, as part of the CCLHD CAMHS service. The role provides assessment and intervention to children aged 0-12 experiencing mild to moderate mental health and or behavioural health concerns. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver evidence-based interventions that promote early intervention and wellbeing for children, their care givers and family networks. In this role you will: Provide bio-psycho-social-cultural assessment, intervention and care coordination to children aged 0-12 experiencing mild to moderate mental health and or behavioural concerns, and their caregivers. Deliver specialist, evidence based and trauma informed therapeutic interventions with a strong early intervention and wellbeing focus. Develop collaborative care plans that actively involve families and carers in assessment, review and discharge planning. Liaise with schools, General Practitioners, inpatient units and community services to ensure integrated and holistic care. The successful applicant will demonstrate: Degree qualifications in a relevant discipline with current professional registration and at least three years postgraduate clinical experience. Experience working within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and a sound understanding of early intervention models of care. Strong knowledge of the mental health needs of children and young people and demonstrated ability to deliver trauma informed care. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary and interagency settings. Current Australian Drivers Licence, Working With Children Check, National Police Check and compliance with Category A immunisation requirements.Applicants must have current work rights in Australia or be a permanent resident or citizen.
