Farmhand / Farm Operator CroppingLocation: Dowerin, Wheatbelt WAThe OpportunityWe areseeking an experienced Farm Hand or Senior Farm Hand to join our client''s progressive broadacre cropping operation in WAs Wheatbelt. This role is suited to a competent operator looking for stability, responsibility, and long-term progression within a well-structured business. Youll be a key part of a small, capable team and expected to operate with a high level of independence and professionalism. The Business 6,500ha cropping program across Dowerin and a second property at Hyden Cropping program: canola, wheat, barley, lupins, export oaten hay Well-planned, systems-driven operation led by a Nuffield Scholar Strong focus on efficiency, timeliness, and continuous improvement Key Responsibilities Independent operation of modern machinery across all cropping activities Spraying program execution (core component of the role) Spreading, paddock preparation, and general fieldwork Basic mechanical servicing and maintenance Truck operations Supporting operations at the Hyden property (~2 days/month) Machinery & Technology Case Steiger for primary tillage John Deere 8000 series tractors Rogator self-propelled sprayer + trailed Hydra Boom sprayers New Holland headers JD Guidance & Trimble precision ag systems Ausplow DBS bar with Morris air cart About You Proven experience in broadacre cropping operations Demonstrated competency in spraying operations (essential) Confident machinery operator with attention to detail Mechanically minded with strong problem-solving ability Able to work unsupervised and take ownership of tasks MC licence preferred, or willingness to obtain Looking for a long-term role, not short-term work Accommodation & Benefits 3x2 house provided on neighbouring farm (recently renovated: new paint, carpets, AC, appliances) Work ute provided Opportunity for partner employment in nearby towns Standard working week~45 hours Overtime paid during peak seasons Why Dowerin & this business Dowerin shire is a reliable, high performing and intensive cropping area of the central wheatbelt.
